Why do we use digital technology to take pictures of your child's teeth?

Digital radiographs require less x-ray exposure to the patient.

There is an approximate 85% reduction in patient exposure to radiation.

In addition to a reduction in radiation, digital radiographs do not produce waste products. Radiographs are transferred directly from the patient sensor to the computer. This eliminates the need for chemicals to develop the dental x-rays.
