As of March 20, 2020, Governor Gretchen Whitmer issued an executive order prohibiting non-urgent medical and dental care in our state indefinitely. This order was given to protect the health of our community and to preserve supplies of personal protective equipment for those fighting on the front lines of the battle against COVID-19.

Our office is following the Governor’s order. And, we are also following the strong recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control, Michigan Dental Association, and American Dental Association to close our office until further notice.

All appointments between now and when we can safely resume providing care, will be postponed due to the “Stay Safe, Stay Home” mandate which is now in effect. We will evaluate the situation on a week-by-week basis, and we will do our best to ensure all patients receive timely communication as to the status of their upcoming appointments.

If your child is experiencing a true dental emergency such as facial swelling due to dental infection or has severe damage to a permanent tooth, please call Dr. Robelli at 586-439-3945.

We recognize this is a challenging time for everyone. Your support and understanding are greatly appreciated as we all navigate through this crisis. We look forward to seeing you as soon as possible.

Dr. Gustafson and staff recognize the importance of maintaining a clean and sanitized environment and its relationship to matters of public health. Health and safety is our highest priority for patients, their families and all staff.

Our office has always observed the most stringent infection control protocols. We sanitize the treatment rooms between patients, use disposable barriers, sterilize instruments/equipment and wipe down all hard surfaces with germicidal wipes. We have clean water bottle systems at all patient chairs.
We want to reassure you that all our standard protocols are in place.
We are monitoring the emerging, rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation and following CDC (Center for Disease Control), ADA (American Dental Association), and the MDA (Michigan Dental Association) recommendations.

And, as always remember the following.
-
No food or drink in the office.
-
If a patient or family member is sick, please cancel the appointment ASAP.
-
Inform our office of any recent travel outside of the USA. At this time, especially recent travel to China, Japan, Iran, Italy, France, and Switzerland.
Please, call our office with any questions or concerns.

Remember, this is an evolving situation and our office is actively monitoring recommendations made by the CDC, ADA, and the MDA.
Thank you for your understanding during the COVID-19 pandemic. Your consideration and cooperation is greatly appreciated. Health and safely of all is our priority.
